KeepMyTips — Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the KeepMyTips mobile app (“the App”). Apple’s standard EULA also applies to App Store downloads; the clauses below are additional and specific to KeepMyTips. By using the App you agree to them.
1. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice. KeepMyTips is a record-keeping tool. Information displayed in the App — including eligibility indications, deduction estimates, tax-savings estimates, and export documents — is generated from figures you enter and from general, published IRS rules, and may not reflect your individual circumstances or current law. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax professional before making filing decisions. You, not KeepMyTips, are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax filings.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee that any deduction will be accepted by the IRS or any tax authority, or that App estimates match your final tax outcome. Estimates (including the Deduction Meter and “estimated tax saved”) are simplified approximations.
3. Your records, your responsibility
Your data is stored only on your device. You are responsible for backups (e.g., device backups or exports). We are not liable for data loss resulting from device loss, deletion, or uninstallation.
4. Subscriptions
KeepMyTips Pro is billed through your app store account, renews automatically until cancelled in your store settings, and is governed by the store’s terms. Prices may change with notice via the store. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; refunds are handled by the store, not by us.
5. Acceptable use and limitation of liability
Use the App lawfully and only for your own record-keeping. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the App or its exports.
The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amounts you paid for it in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the publisher’s place of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the benefit of local law.
6. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page, change the effective date, and note the change in the App’s release notes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
